Suburban Lawns – Cowboy

This is the final track from, sadly, Suburban Lawns final release, the 1983 EP ‘Baby’. The sound had changed, and became more expansive with a touch of the ethereal about it. The tightly wound, agitated, frenetic sound was mostly a thing of the past, and the next phase had parallels to where The Raincoats were going after the brutal primitivism of their debut. This EP was a hint of what would have been if this band hadn’t been so short lived.
