Einstürzende Neubauten – Dead Friends (Around the Corner)

By Neubauten’s 2004 album ‘Perpetuum Mobile’, we were all used to them “wallowing in beauty” (as Blixa Bergeld said in an interview in The Wire in 1996); perhaps even the fans who wanted to hang on to their teenage angst along with their crusty old boots and dated hairstyles had decided to give in. This album, the first with their (then) new line-up, shines and dazzles, and has moments of exquisite beauty on it, proving the band were still staying true to Blixa’s words.
