Warmduscher – I Got Friends

Something from the UK acts new album ‘Whale City’; goofed-out Garage with some nasty Psychedelics. Word has it that there is a Paranoid London Acid House remix of this bad boy.

The Caretaker – Everywhere At The End Of Time: Stage 4 [Full Album]

Leyland Kirby has taken his alter ego, The Caretaker, into a recorded, steady decline with the ongoing project ‘Everywhere At The End Of Time’; where the aforementioned Caretaker deteriorates from Alzheimers, with each “stage” represented on album. So far we have had three stages, with the first 2 pretty much in the usual Caretaker territory; Ballroom 78’s layered and looped and waltzing in reverb. Stage 3 started showing signs of forgetfulness, holes in the memory, and moments of bewilderment. It was brilliant;y represented by the music; with the listener never really forgetting the intention behind Kirby’s use of plunderphonics, rendering Stage 3 truly heartbreaking, and leaving many listeners wondering if they would be able to withstand the following three stages. On April the 5th, 2018, Kirby released stage 4, and uploaded the whole double album onto YouTube on the same day as digital, and physical releases. The majority of the album deals with the confusion present in dementia cases, and makes for a less comfortable listen than anything previously released in the series. Jump cuts, roughly layered samples, and sudden dropouts are the order of the day, with the only relief being the calmer, but ultimately depressing ‘Stage 4 Temporary Bliss State’, before being thrown back into the horrors of entangled memories, albeit more more subtlety the third time around.. If you’re new to this series, or The Caretaker in general, our advice would be to start with the first in the series, and work your way up (or down, in this case). All of the albums have been fully uploaded onto youTube, possibly by Kirby himself. Just prepare yourself to be affected by the music, one way or another.

Kemialliset Ystävät – Hengitä Sisään Ulos

A track from the bands new album ‘SIIPI EMPII’, due out on the 6th of April 2018. The track has all of the intricacy their more recent work has, and the video os by Finnish artist duo Nabb+Teeri.

The Monochrome Set – I Feel Fine (Really)

Fantastic new track from the Hornsey Post Punk stalwarts who have always known their way around a melody or two. Video directed by Tony Potts, and off of the brand new album ‘Maisieworld’.

Heartthrob – Nairobi Candles (Fuck Rachel Tension Mix)

Jesse Siminski has always thrown some cheeky moves; even with his toughest Techno tunes. This, from his latest EP ‘Nairobi Candles: Burning Bright’, up’s the cheeky quotient and throws some starry Disco moves.

Warmduscher – Neon Tongues

The B-Side to the band’s new single “Big Wilma”, out now. This is all cheap drum machines, fuzzy synths, and spoken word (word!).

You can go to their bandcamp page and support them.

Dorisburg – Venom

Swedish Techno from October 2017. This is sparse, dank material at 126 bpm. Groove me baby!

Truncate – Pseudo V1

Some new, tough Techno for the purists out there.

Manny Cuevas – A Matter Defined (Acid House)

Some brand new Acid for your Jackin’ requirements. This is from the Florida man’s 2017 EP ‘Thee Jackin’ Zone’.

Deepchord – Point Reyes

Mr Modell gives us some super-submerged Dub Techno with a few whiplashes that rise to the surface. This is from the sublime new album ‘Auratones’.
