This Heat – Repeat

This Heat re-work their 1979 track ’24 Track Loop’ and stretch it out for 20 minutes. This was released in 1993, though we are unclear about when this edit actually occurred. Answers on a postcard, please.

It’s not technically a remix… the original material was recorded and produced in 1979… sections of those sessions were digitally spliced and edited in 1992 to make the 20 minute version that appears here – this was done for structure, there was no remixing of the individual parts, they all remain the same as they were in 1979… so edit, not remix… actually says so on the sleeve notes: “Track 1 recorded and mixed a the Workhorse, Old Kent Road in 1979 with assistance from David Cunningham, Anthony Moore, Rik Walton & Chris Blake. Edited at Node Recording Services in 1992. “
