You’ve Got Foetus On Your Breath – Flashback

An incredibly young (teenage?) Jim Thirlwell here with a track from his 1st album, 1981’s ‘DEAF’. This has all of the hallmarks that Jim’s Foetus project was known for for many years; mutated Rock ‘n’ Roll; Jim’s Rockabilly Holler; twisted humour (“I’ll give you more cash than Stevie Wonder has eyes”); and harsh discordance interlaced with the almost straight song-form. He got a lot better than he managed with his debut album, but ‘Flashback’ was definitely a solid blueprint.
