The The – ShrunkenMan

Absolute stunner, and a slightly different version from the one that ended up on Matt’s underrated album from 2000, ‘NakedSelf’; a dark, heavy album at times, but one that can also touch the listener deeply. lovingly and gently. ‘ShrunkenMan’ kinda creeps in and manages to render the listener heartbroken and uneasy at the same time. Check out the cover version* by Matt Johnson’s friend and musical terrorist Jim ‘Foetus’ Thirlwell, where he brings out the real sinister elements of the song and gives the listener a nightmare.

*Will be posted very soon.
