Prince – Purple Music

This is a Prince rarity from around 1982, and it’s astounding that this brilliant track wasn’t released. Proto-House, No Wave Disco, and even elements of New York’s Suicide pop into this stripped down future Funk gem.

Oh my goodness Jay, thank you – I have been trying to source this track since Theo Parrish dropped it many years ago at a Plastic People session. Theo and Prince are big influences on much of what I love. I am so delighted to find it in it’s entirety – tho think Theo maybe played a sneaky edit, it was a bit less loose than this version.. thanks again, Paula x Date: Sun, 8 May 2016 19:14:28 +0000 To: ladymissp@hotmail.com
