Skeleton Crew – The Birds Of Japan

Skeleton Crew were kinda considered an underground ‘supergroup’ due to the fact they consisted of Fred Frith, Zeena Parkins, and Tom Cora. They certainly had their own sound, and were pretty much instantly recognisable. They just recorded the 2 albums, and this track is from the 2nd one, 1986’s ‘The Country of Blinds’. The ramshackle element (they made a lot of their own instruments) gives the song some real textures.
