Snakefinger’s Vestal Virgins – The Ballad Of Sawney Bean/Sawney’s Death Dance

The closing track/s from, sadly, Snakefingers final album before his fatal heart attack on the 1st of July, 1987. This was with his band The Vestal Virgins, and is a tale of the Scottish cannibal clan and their capture and execution. The song is done in the style of Scottish folk music from the time of the Bean clan, and works wonderfully well. From 1987’s ‘Night Of Desirable Objects’.
