The Fall – Cyber Insekt

As John Peel once described them, The Fall are ‘always different, always the same’; and along with grasping this paradox, it is good to understand, nay expect, a discography with peaks and troughs. 2000’s ‘The Unutterable’ was certainly one of those peaks, and is one of the bands strongest efforts in their history; which isn’t bad considering they had been going for around 22 years before this came out. The opening track ‘Cyber Insekt’ is industrial strength rockabilly with hooks of pop proportions. Fantastic.
