F.U.S.E – Mantrax

(almost) Detroit Techno from Canadian Richie Hawtin. Hawtin was from Windsor, which was in sight of Detroit, separated by the Detroit river. Richie regularly traveled across the divide to attend all of the parties in the Motor City; immersing himself in the music and culture. He got a lot of stick when he first arrived on the scene, but there was no denying his modest intentions and solid productions. This 1992 tune is everything that Techno was supposed to be at this point; futuristic, propulsive, groovy, and psychedelic. Kudos Richie.
