Syd Barrett – Octopus

Brilliant track from Barrett’s ‘The Madcap Laughs’ (1968). You can hear everyone from Bowie to T-Rex in this (even responsible for the legacy of Blur). Dismissed by some as a mad man, or the guy who left Pink Floyd for the rest of them to just get on with it (and we know how that turned out). Fantastic track from the man who brought us ‘Piper At The Gates Of Dawn’.
