Terry Riley – A Rainbow In Curved Air

This is from the composers third album, from 1969, which goes by the same title as this track. Described as Minimal music, this track is pretty maximal when you listen to it now, with twinkling keyboard acrobatics akin to glittering stardust. The track is in three sections, or ‘movements’.

    Amazing tune, perhaps still my favorite of his after all these years. I own it on vinyl and CD, though I prefer the CD cover (as seen above).
